We just launched a new soical network for travellers in October and are looking for feedback on the website and its design. If anyone can take a look at Touristlink.com and give me comments it would be great.
I am interested to know
1) Does the home page make sense? What do you like most or least?
2) Is navigation clear if you are looking for places on the website?
Thanks - any suggests are much appreciated.
Looks good! I like the graphics of the traveler and destinations. I was able to find information easily and quickly.
The only thing I would add would be a Twitter presence to the main page.
That is a great looking website! The graphics look great, and it all flows very well. The only suggestion I would make, is change the color of the top right Join button. I think that would get more clicks if you blended it into your theme's color scheme a little bit more. Perhaps a green, yellow, or orange. My company has done extensive testing with button colors and how they effect conversion rates, and I usually find those to work best.
Also, the button may do better if you advertise as Join FREE Now! Adding some urgency and using the word free can usually increase conversion rates.
Of course, these are all suggestions that I would test before rolling out fully if you were my client, so even though I am pretty confident, please test!
We will give that a try. I appreciate the specific advice and comments.
Cute pics on the homepage
I land on the same page by licking "World" and "Most Popular", and I didn't find the way back to the homepage.
Davidurmann,
I like the website. It is attractive, and has a nice, smooth, user-friendly interface. Browsing through some of the pages, I would suggest reviewing the text on each page. There are some inconsistencies in capitalization and grammar. I know not many people look that closely; in fact it may just be me lol. Also, reconsider where you are placing the advertisements. It takes away from some of your page.
Regards,
Dan
Nice site! Clean, quick, colorful and well laid out. information is easy to find.
Might suggest getting the Google Ads out of the top left corner, very distracting and could cause someone to actually click away from your site.

Looks like a good website to me and the navigation is easy to use.
I recommend a little bit more white space at the bottom. It looks a little busy but nothing major.
Great job,
The quality of your site surprised me. The graphical theme is definitely in line with other social media platforms like Twitter, adding a sense of familiarity. I think your website has a lot of potential and could really take off if you continue to promote and develop it. The layout is nice, navigation is easy, and it looks like you've already got a nice little following going. Keep it up, you're on the right track. The only thing I would suggest is a travel blog to accompany the site and add fresh content.
